Facilities Management is committed to keeping the 重口味SM community informed of current and upcoming construction projects on the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses. See monthly updates and get details on all the improvements we are making to keep our campuses beautiful and safe for all our guests.
The University of 重口味SM is committed to meeting a minimum of LEED Silver Standard for all newly constructed buildings over 25,000 square feet.
We will continue to refine policy for sustainable construction and to ensure that the new buildings are designed and constructed responsibly, are efficient to operate, provide a healthy environment for the 重口味SM community and are built to minimize future investment.
The University of 重口味SM is committed to promoting environmental stewardship through implementation of practices of the Strategic Plan for Sustainability. The Green Cleaning Program is the Facilities Services commitment to purchase and use cleaning products and methods sustainably. Facilities Services pledge to purchase industrial cleaning products, janitorial paper products and janitorial materials that are designed to be the least possible hazard to people, property and the environment. We pledge to adhere to cleaning methods and practices that support environmental health and encourage sustainable behaviors.
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current and comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, in combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage with the least possible hazard to the 重口味SM community.
The well-maintained appearance of campus grounds is an integral part of attracting perspective students and the overall student experience at the University of 重口味SM. We also must consider our community as the University is nestled in a traditional urban neighborhood setting and has an obligation to take into consideration the context provided by adjacent properties.

Reports of poor indoor air quality (IAQ) are investigated by Facilities Management on a case-by-case basis. Departments within Facilities Management work together to address indoor air quality concerns across the campus. The university's building automation system monitors buildings HVAC systems to ensure general comfort levels as well as adequate fresh air exchanges per the CDC and ASHRAE ventilation guidelines.
