Commencement 2026 Accessibility

If you are a student participating in the commencement ceremony and you have an accessibility request, or you have a guest with an accessibility request, please contact Disability Resources. Please submit your request by May 1, 2026. We will make every effort to accommodate requests after this date; earlier notification is appreciated.

Captioning will be provided for all live streamed ceremonies.

Accessible Parking
Accessible parking will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis in Anderson Parking Facility and other campus lots and parking facilities. State issued disability parking permits are required for marked accessible parking spaces.

Drop-Off Location
Guests may be dropped off at the Lee and Penny Anderson Arena via the turnaround accessed off Summit Avenue between South Mississippi River Road Boulevard and Cretin Avenue.

Accessible seating
Accessible seating is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is limited designated accessible seating on the main concourse (2nd floor) and third floor, in addition to seating available on the main arena floor. Ushers will assist guests with accessibility needs as they are seated.

Wheelchair & Scooter Rental
Because of the layout of the campus and the distances from the parking locations to the ceremony site and in order to have an enjoyable event, some have found a wheelchair or scooter of great assistance. Guests in need of mobility equipment may contact the following two local businesses who are willing to assist with these requests. Rental arrangements are made on an individual basis with these companies prior to the day of commencement and are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
